The Rotary Club of Parkland After Dark, would like to give a big shout out, and thank you to
all the Rotarians, Friends, Family & of course The Stony Plain & Spruce Grove Communities for supporting our
2ND ANNUAL FILL A BAG - FEED A FAMILY SERVICE PROJECT !
In Spruce Grove:
We delivered 3,000 Bags & Picked up 249 Bags - just over 8% conversion. ( I do believe weather was a factor, for some people not putting bags out )
In Stony Plain:
We delivered 2000 Bags & Picked up 231 Bags - that’s almost a 12% conversion.
We successfully picked up 480 bags in total (9.6% success rate)! As well, many bags were dropped off at local grocery stores, and or picked up later.
I am excited to share that The Parkland Food Bank has finished weighing our collections &… we collected an Amazing 2697 KG’s of Food. That is a cash value of $14,833.00!
Those numbers are an improvement from our last years numbers of 2107 KG’s of Food, with a cash value of $11,588.50 & our cash donations collected of $555.00!
